Spider Pest Control is essential for your Home. There are two North American species of spiders that are dangerous to humans. These two spiders are the black widow and the brown recluse. It is important to have spider pest control for many reasons, but most importantly to rid your house of these two dangerous spiders and keep your family and pets from being harmed. This can be achieved using do it yourself pest control products. Effective spider pest control depends on the type of pesticides that are being used.

You should do research and make sure that you know the spiders that you need to look out for, these being the black widow and brown recluse. Know the environments that they thrive in, in order to make sure that you are not breeding them in your home, garage or sheds. The female black widow spider has a shiny black globular abdomen with two yellow or red markings in a triangular shape. It looks like an hourglass. The males however are lighter in color, smaller, and have light streaks on the abdomen. They will bite if provoked and usually don’t enter structures. The bite feels like a sharp pain, similar to a needle puncture. Bites are rarely fatal, but if you are bitten you should seek medical attention. One of the first symptoms after a bite is muscular cramping. This usually occurs 15 minutes to an hour after the bite. The body of the brown recluse is yellow to dark brown, with the body size of 1/3 to ½ inch long. Combined with the legs, it may be about an inch in diameter. The dorsal has a dark brown violin shaped marking and it is very distinctive. The web of the spiders is off white to grayish in color. They can be found outside, under rocks, debris, and wood piles, but many times are found inside your house. They are found most in basements, attics, closets, garages, and cellars. Many times people get bit by putting their hands or feet into something that has been in storage. The initial bite of this spider is not intense, but it is poisonous. After 8 to 12 hours the pain becomes more intense, and over the next few days large sores form and begin to create a disfigured scar. Seek immediate medical treatment after the bite.

By doing preventative spider pest control in and around your house, you can keep these, and most other spiders away from your family and pets, keeping them from harm. The brown recluse sometimes may not be vulnerable to pesticides, so it is important to find the best type of spider control methods to keep this unwanted guest out of your home. In order for a brown recluse spider to survive, they thrive on other household pests. They will find an area where these pests thrive, and feed off them. Eliminate not only the spiders, but also the pests that attract the spiders.

In order to have spider pest control, you need to eliminate the perfect types of environments that attract spiders. Break up their food chain and destroy their habitats. Maintain spider pest control inside your house, outside your house, as well as in and around the perimeter of your garage. Make sure you exterminate any crooks and cracks of dark places in your house such as attics, cellars, and basements. Keep your family safe from these pesky and dangerous insects and be in charge of your spider pest control.
