Whitmire Micro-Gen's Advance Granular Carpenter Ant Bait is a ready-to-use product for controlling ants both indoors and outdoors. This bait formula combines a mixture of foods and the delayed action insecticide, abamectin. This insecticide acts to reduce the population of worker ants and can cause an immediate halt in egg production, which can result in colony elimination. While this product is labeled for use in controlling carpenter ants, Advance Granular Carpenter Ant Bait is also effective in controlling most common species of ants such as Argentine, bigheaded, crazy, field, fire, little black, pavement, pharaoh, odorous house and thief ants.
